Wine Reviews

Vines Magazine (September 2005)
2004 Sauvignon Blanc VQA
The 2004 Sauvignon Blanc is a bright, aromatic classic with notes
of lemon grass and grapefruit. Dry and crisp, there's plenty of citrus fruit with
a touch of grass. This beauty is one of the best in Niagara," Walter Sendzik.

Vines Magazine (October 2005)
2004 Chardonnay Sans Chene VQA
"If it wasn't hard enough to understand a wine label, Stonechurch introduces
the French terms sans chene to its front label, which translates to no oak. A
novel concept, but it adds another confusing term to jargon filled industry. But
it's what is inside the bottle that counts. Having undergone malolactic
fermentation, there's an abundance of buttery pineapple and pear with a
streak of acidity that accents the fruit. Creamy mid-palette provides depth to a
well-made wine. Try with a cream sauce pasta and shrimp," Walter Sendzik.

2004 Sauvignon Blanc VQA
"Ripe, almost opulent, sauvignon blanc with bright straw yellow colour.
Generous sweet fruit mindful of pineapple, guava and gooseberry, with a dash
of fresh herbs and evergreen. Mid-weight, fleshy, substantial sytle, with sour
lemon finish and some heat," David Lawrason.
